A glass freezer is indispensable in bars, restaurants and cafés. It quickly and easily freezes glasses and ensures customers get the optimal drink experience.
A tabletop glass freezer
This glass freezer or glass froster is a compact, square model. Because it's small, you can place it anywhere on your bar or counter. All you have to do is put a glass upside down on the glass freezer, which will coat it with ice. This ice coating has several advantages. Drinks can stay chilled for longer, eliminating the need for ice cubes. This prevents drinks from being watered down, which reduces the taste. You no longer need to put your glasses in the freezer and will always have enough chilled glasses. This glass freezer ensures that every glass has the same cooling, so your customers will have the same experience every time. With the layer of ice, you can also present your drinks beautifully.
Operation of the glass freezer
The glass freezer needs to be connected to electricity and a CO2 tank. Working safely and ensuring the CO2 tank is connected correctly is essential. First, ensure the CO2 cylinder is properly secured so that it won't shoot away if the hose accidentally disconnects. There is a metal thread on the supply hose of the CO2 cylinder, which you should also place around the neck of the CO2 cylinder. This prevents the hose from slipping if it comes loose. When you have taken all safety measures, you can start operating the appliance.
Quickly frozen glasses
Connect the supply hose to the CO2 cylinder and make sure it's securely attached. Connect the adapter of the glass freezer. Now, carefully turn the CO2 cylinder open a little so you can check that no carbon dioxide is leaking. If not, you can fully open the tank. Press the red button on the glass freezer to turn it on. Take a glass and place it upside down on the machine. Press the blue button, and carbon dioxide will come out of the machine, freezing the glass. When the glass is iced, rerelease the blue button. Grab the glass by the base and put it back upright on the worktop. Now you have an ice-cold glass, ready to use.
Cleaning the glass freezer
To prolong the life of the glass freezer, it's essential to clean it after each use. Make sure the glass freezer is switched off and unplugged. After you've used the glass freezer, wait for the remaining CO2 to evaporate and allow the glass freezer to come to room temperature before cleaning. Do not use water when cleaning; this can lead to ice formation! Clean with a slightly damp cloth and regularly check the glass freezer for wear and damage.
