Easily smooth your cakes with this cake decorating machine. The cake rotates evenly on a platform, while the vertical and horizontal knives ensure that all excess icing/frosting is removed, creating a neat side and top. The machine also has an adjustable speed of 40-225RPM and can be set in 5-step increments. The turntable can rotate both ways.
Smooth frosting
Place your cake in the centre of the machine. Slide the vertical knife along the cake and rotate the tray manually. Ensure a consistent distance between the knife and the cake throughout. Adjust the cake position if needed. Proceed by sliding the vertical knife against the cake, then the horizontal knife on top. Turn on the machine, set the desired speed (advised speed: 75-85RPM) and use a piping bag for cream (e.g. buttercream or ganache). Apply the cream starting from the top, moving outwards. As the cake passes through, excess cream will be removed. Once the top is done, move to the sides, working from top to bottom. Adjust the knives for tighter corners or a thinner cream layer if desired.
Cleaning the cake decorating machine
It's important to clean the cake decorating machine thoroughly after each use. Remove all loose parts from the machine. Wash these parts with warm water and a mild detergent. Do not use a sponge to avoid scratching. Then dry the parts thoroughly. Clean the outside of the machine with a cloth. Put the parts back in the machine and store the machine in a dust-free place.
